Love and kindness are the very basis of society. If we lose these feelings, society will face tremendous difficulties; the survival of humanity will be endangered. – Dalai Lama

Recently The Police terrorized my hometown of Seaside, Oregon (article) by setting off the emergency warning system.Β This spread #fakenews to citizens, proclaiming that a tsunami wave would hit the city in four hours. It was a false alarm. (KGW Video)
This was similar to the incorrect incoming ballistic missile alert issued in Hawaii, which had everyone panickingΒ and taking precautions…Parents were putting children in storm drains.
These two major mistakes prove there is no authority on anything, and officials don’t exist. Public figures care less about you, and your safety than you do. It’s a paycheck for them. So make your own survival kits.
How can you trust the government when they can’t even get it right when there’s no disaster? Officials won’t be there for you during an emergency. You need your own training, plan, team, and gear to adapt and overcome. Hawaiians had no idea what was really happening for 38 excruciating minutes. They were led to believe they were all about to die, and there was nothing they could do about it. No tips. Just threats.
People are pushing the wrong buttons alright. Buttons they don’t have the training to use properly, or the desire to carefully watch over. Heads should roll in these public offices. But they will blame funding, and take more money from you instead. You can’t rely on the government for anything but failures, without accountability.

Bug Out Bag and Bicycle – Winter Camping Gear Setup
Dear Survival Journal,
I got a way late start. Β Was also considering busing to the warming center in Astoria, OR. Β That’s smart.Β
Hiking 7 miles ain’t. Β But I was determinedΒ to bog through the uphill swamp: half in the dark. Β I got turned around at one point where trees fell over the path. Β I also slipped once, but rehearsed in my head what to do. Β I threw my 1 gallon water jug, and braced myself. Β Yup, I carried a heavy water container from Ave. U to The Hiker Cabins on Tillamook Head. Β My shoulders and arms are torn up. Β My 110 liter Kelty backpack had to be 70 pounds. Β
Plus, I was running on a bum sprained ankle…wore a too tight brace…My left shoulder hurt the most. Β It was so tight. Β But I had an indica BHO cartridgeΒ in my vape pen to finish off. Β It was charging in my bag on the hike with a portable power bank charger. Β I brought too much stuff. Β Like 6 pairs of socks, an umbrella, a dud smoke grenade, and a giant tarp. Β It’s 11am – dark at 4:25pm. Β So cold. Β My hands are numb.Β

I love meeting new friends at Terwilliger aka Cougar Hot Spring in Oregon. Β It’s located in the Willamette National Forest, East of Eugene near the McKenzie River. Β The cost is now $12 per day pass. Β You’ll take a moderate walk 1/2 a mile in from the small parking lot, before getting to the meditative area. Β Accommodations include a covered changing area, and updated self-composting outdoor restrooms.Β Also, keep in mind this is a day use area only. Β You could face a fat fine if you’re not leaving the parking lot when darkness falls.
Change temperatures in a shallow creek skirting the cascading blue pools.Β Cool down, and drink the fresh water from Source.Β Previously, I dug clay out of the Earth here for facials, but we need to leave this space as it is.Β Clothing is optional, so come as you are and be respectful, or leave.Β Guests may want to remain clothed.Β Don’t ask them why they aren’t naked.Β This popular recreational area can be very busy during the Summer.Β Go in the morning, or during the week for more seclusion.Β Pools are cleaned every Thursday in the AM, so expect closure until late afternoon.Β Smile, and bring your positive energy.Β We need more natural people on Earth.Β Forget you phone, bills, and ex-girlfriend, and soak in the healing waters.Β I hope to see you there.Β I will continue to update this post with new pictures, and 4K videos.Β
Chill out on the North Fork of the McKenzie River with Cam from #SurvivalBros and Papilio Oregonius butterflies.Β This is the official insect of Oregon State.Β Filmed near Terwilliger/Cougar Hot Spring, in the Willamette National Forest.
Cam with Rick McCrank – host of VICELAND’S Abandoned in Astoria, Oregon
Oregonian Cameron McKirdy appears on VICELAND’s “Abandoned.” Β It’s a new travel documentary type show featuring deserted places.Β I guided the VICE TV crew around our area, and shared my story.Β Producers from British Columbia, Canada filmed the host, Professional Skateboarder Rick McCrank and I discussing preparations for a nuclear disaster, and a tsunami.Β VICE and I took my Volkswagon van for a ride along the ocean in Long Beach, Washington looking for shelter, plus debris from the 2011 Japanese tsunami.Β Over two days we built emergency preparedness kits with ammo boxes to bury in the ground along escape routes, like I have shown on my YouTube Channel calledΒ Survival Bros.Β We scavenged free health food samples from A Gypsy’s Whimsy, and purchased essential gear items to cache at more stores located in Astoria and Seaside, OR.Β The #survival kit I helped McCrank build should help him endure a disaster if he keeps it close by.Β I always have my emergency Go-Bag with me.
ON AIR you should see me (Cam The Cuddler) hugging people and chatting about my life as a certified professional cuddler.Β Check out his CuddleLife Blog for more information and to read my FAQs.Β I offer a platonic touch service, and I’m open to trades and donations.Β Typically I get one dollar per minute to care for people.Β I believe cuddling is therapeutic, and a fun and safe way to get the positive human touch we all need to survive.Β

Survival Bros gets 26 different free samples in his local Costco shopping center on HD video. Β This total number doesn’t reflect when Cam swooped up multiple trial bites of the same item. Β You’re allowed to take more than one, as long as it’s on the tray. Β All of this complementary grub made a full meal, but he is still hungry.Β Β Cam didn’t even purchase any stuff, and doesn’t have a Costco membership card. Β Get access with a Costco Gift Card, then sample up, or buy an inexpensive meal at the food court deli. Β
Try going at the end of the day for extra samples. Β They are trying to get rid of the products before closing time. Β What’s your favorite line from this production? Β Leave a comment. Β You can also subscribe at the top left to get free articles delivered to your email inbox. Β Survival Bros doesn’t Spam, but we do store it just in case. Β Mmmmm. Learn which individual servings or samples of condiments, and sauce you can find for free. Do some urban scavenging like me. Stockpile packets of ketchup, salsa, candy, and more items for storage. My favorite package seen in the video is the lemon juice. I forgot to mention it. You can find just about any free food packet out there. I have a secret sauce floating around my van somewhere from Burger King. I think I eat out more for condiments than the fast food itself.
Having these sauces, and sugars, etc. on hand saves money. Take food packets like the ones shown on your next camping trip for extra spice, or flavor in your meal. Get free condiments as seen on Survival Bros at restaurants, and convenience stores. If something isn’t priced, it must be available to take.
Do you stockpile packets like I do? I feel like such a rebel when my pockets are full, and I’ve made a clean getaway with the loot.
