Hey Friends,

Cameron McKirdy here from the Astoria, Oregon library.  I’m working on some website and YouTube SEO.  My Survival Bros channel is growing rapidly; thanks for your continued support.  Please take a second to SUBSCRIBE, so we can get to 10,000 community members ASAP.

Here’s an update from The Road.  In this HD video I show you my new van, and tell you how I got it in a trade!  Now I’m #vandwelling in a beautiful 2002 Chevy Astro.

Here’s my latest vandwelling food kit items in HD!  Buy a van and go (tip).

Previously on Survival Bros…..com #Chevy #G20 #van

My van blows a head gasket on a classic Chevy G20 Gladiator after a hose breaks, and the temperature gauge fails to work.  Watch the newly release dramatic video footage now!  Smoke is never a good thing, unless it’s weed.

Next Up: Hustling on The Streets!  Watch a clip of items I tried to sell to a buyer from Facebook.  She was interested in a glass bottle, but I ended up getting $35 from her for half of this junk.  I had a blast going to 200 garage sales this summer to bargain hunt, and haggle with strangers.

Raw #HD Footage of Cam exploring an #abandoned RV off the highway in Washington State.  A few resources were recovered from the gross vehicle.

Survival Bros has a yard sale. Would you buy any of this junk? I made under $300 in two days.

I’m such a hoarder. However, I will be donating a bunch of stuff to charity. What’s your favorite organization to give to? I have an empty seat in my van. Maybe you can help me fill the position. Think you have what it takes to #survive vanlife? Here’s a few of my requirements for the role of superstar gypsy. Comment if there should be other tasks.

1. Must keep it (van) oiled. However, I may need sunscreen applied to my body as well to protect from harmful UV radiation.

2. Have to be on lookout for nude sunbathing locations. Obviously.

3. Should be generous…ready to give what you can to people and animals in need. We will be hugging trees too here in Oregon.

4. Light Navigation. Don’t disract me. Know your right from left?

5. Needs to be able to spot garage sales on weekends. I get first dibs on manly stuff.

Bonus if you’re athletic, have a driver’s license, and smell wonderful most of the time. Inexperience not required, but preferred. This adds to sense of adventure I think, as we try new things.

To apply to become a traveller, email me about yourself with a picture. In all honesty, I would like to meet a healthy girl to love on. I live a fun and wild life, and I’d like to share the journey with a nugget. Hit on me, or just send a nice note of platonic encouragement. thesurvivalbros@gmail.com

cam-hugs-rickCam with Rick McCrank – host of VICELAND’S Abandoned in Astoria, Oregon

Coming to a screen near you on Friday 10/7/2016 at 8PM, Oregonian Cameron McKirdy appears on VICELAND’s “Abandoned.”  It’s a new travel documentary type show featuring deserted places.  I guided the VICE TV crew around our area, and shared my story.  Producers from British Columbia, Canada filmed the host, Professional Skateboarder Rick McCrank and I discussing preparations for a nuclear disaster, and a tsunami.  VICE and I took my Volkswagon van for a ride along the ocean in Long Beach, Washington looking for shelter, plus debris from the 2011 Japanese tsunami.  Over two days we built emergency preparedness kits with ammo boxes to bury in the ground along escape routes, like I have shown on my YouTube Channel called Survival Bros.  We scavenged free health food samples from A Gypsy’s Whimsy, and purchased essential gear items to cache at more stores located in Astoria and Seaside, OR.  The #survival kit I helped McCrank build should help him endure a disaster if he keeps it close by.  I always have my emergency Go-Bag with me.

ON AIR you should see me (Cam The Cuddler) hugging people and chatting about my life as a certified professional cuddler.  Check out CuddleLife.com for more information and to read my FAQs.  I offer a platonic touch service, and I’m open to trades and donations.  Typically I get one dollar per minute to care for people.  I believe cuddling is therapeutic, and a fun and safe way to get the positive human touch we all need to survive.

Screenshot from the video.  My RPM gauge is the only instrument that works in the VW Vanagon!  I can’t figure out how to reset the clock either.  Plus, the odometer and speedometer are broken, so I go the the GPS unit for more information on my drive sometimes.  The van needs some love.  My heater fan went out last summer, but will require taking off the dash.

Please like, comment, and share this vlog post with your friends.  The Survival Bros community is really growing, and taking off – because of your help and support.

Cameron McKirdy drives his vehicle, a 1986 Volkswagen Vangon in gross, extremely dangerous Winter weather conditions near the beach in Seaside, Oregon.

Survival Bros asks for free food samples at Natural Grocers in Eugene, Oregon while on a roadtrip.  I scored four packets of organic plant based protein drinks, and Non-GMO oatmeal.  Check out the freebie haul.  Get free calories for yourself by asking to try things at every store you go to.  It’s not begging.  The shops either have product to get rid of for promotional use, or not.  All of the products seen in this new Vlog are NOT FOR RESALE!  If scavengers like me do not request the trials, they could go home with a hungry employee, or even worse…EXPIRE!  Nothing is worse than wasting a calorie.

Black and white

Cameron McKirdy was here.

Survival Bros finds a used plastic water bottle full of urine in a Safeway parking lot.  Have you guys gone to the bathroom this way?  I’ve never thrown a refilled container out of my vehicle onto the highway.  That’s just wrong.  And littering will cost you.  Peeing on trees is much more fun.  Hug them before you go potty.

Litter weighing five pounds or less is a class C misdemeanor, punishable by a fine up to $500. If between five and 500 pounds, class B misdemeanor punishable by a fine up to $500, imprisonment up to 30 days, or both.

FACT:  It takes 450 years for a plastic bottle to decompose.

Leave a comment about this video please.  Thank you for contributing to the Survival Bros Blog.  Cheers.

Starring Mocha The Puggle with Cameron McKirdy

A pug beagle combination dreams in her sleep, and acts funny on camera in HD video.  My pet is 7 years old, brindle, plus great at catching and fetching.  Her birthday is on Valentine’s Day.  Mocha The Puggle currently helps run the emergency preparedness blog.  She loves vandwelling in the Volkswagen Vanagon with her copilot.  But believe me, she is a bed hog, regardless of her petite stature.
