Hello Friends,

In this Survival Bros vlog I visit a gym to use a free trial membership.  Really, I just wanted to use the sauna and shower at no cost.  I encourage you to ask more, and see what you can get in life.

Using an infrared sauna will get rid of toxins, open pores, and relax tense muscles.  It was hot as Vegas, but I loved IT.  I lasted 25 minutes.  No idea what the temperature was!  After this I drove my new Mustang to Portland to hustle at pawn shops and thrift stores.  I forget what I found…but I’ll find it again.  ha

Best Wishes from Oregon,

chris weidman card

I hadn’t seen much of Chris Weidman before his first fight with Anderson Silvia in July of 2013, although I’ve since gone back and seen most of his 11 wins.  I watch many of the UFC Pay-Per-View events, but when I saw UFC 162 I was awe struck.  Weidman looked perfect, and I loved his confidence.  The day after he knocked out Silva I purchased a Weidman autographed Topps Rookie Card for a long-term investment.  It’s the first sports card he ever signed after joining The Ultimate Fighting Championship.  I was a little late to get on the bandwagon, but real recognizes real.  Chris made short work of “The Greatest Fighter Ever” twice, now it’s his time.  This blog post is a tribute to the current UFC Middleweight Champion of The World.  Also, in case you didn’t know, Weidman’s home was heavily damaged from Hurricane Sandy in 2012.  He volunteered to help rebuild homes for people in need.

On my way to the park for some exercise, I noticed a roadside table bursting with bright dahlias. Next to them was a sign painted “FREE FLOWERS.” What a concept! They could have just left a cash box out there with a price. But nope. It wasn’t too good to be true. It was just someone doing a good deed.

I got to talk to the retired man tending his garden. He said it’s easier to give them away. Then he doesn’t have to stay out there, or be mad when someone steals the cash. What can you give away today?

What does entertainer Bill Hicks have to do with surviving? Everything. Survival and comedy is about observation and adaptation. You have to think for yourself, and question authority. Bill embodied awareness, and made light of the darkness. In short, Hicks made the world a better place. Learn from him. We must survive AND thrive in the nightmare of 1984. Survival Bros will use Art and comedy to do both. Peace and love. – Cameron McKirdy
