cam-hugs-rickCam with Rick McCrank – host of VICELAND’S Abandoned in Astoria, Oregon

Coming to a screen near you on Friday 10/7/2016 at 8PM, Oregonian Cameron McKirdy appears on VICELAND’s “Abandoned.”  It’s a new travel documentary type show featuring deserted places.  I guided the VICE TV crew around our area, and shared my story.  Producers from British Columbia, Canada filmed the host, Professional Skateboarder Rick McCrank and I discussing preparations for a nuclear disaster, and a tsunami.  VICE and I took my Volkswagon van for a ride along the ocean in Long Beach, Washington looking for shelter, plus debris from the 2011 Japanese tsunami.  Over two days we built emergency preparedness kits with ammo boxes to bury in the ground along escape routes, like I have shown on my YouTube Channel called Survival Bros.  We scavenged free health food samples from A Gypsy’s Whimsy, and purchased essential gear items to cache at more stores located in Astoria and Seaside, OR.  The #survival kit I helped McCrank build should help him endure a disaster if he keeps it close by.  I always have my emergency Go-Bag with me.

ON AIR you should see me (Cam The Cuddler) hugging people and chatting about my life as a certified professional cuddler.  Check out CuddleLife.com for more information and to read my FAQs.  I offer a platonic touch service, and I’m open to trades and donations.  Typically I get one dollar per minute to care for people.  I believe cuddling is therapeutic, and a fun and safe way to get the positive human touch we all need to survive.

Cameron Cuddling Cuddle Up To Me’s Samantha Hess in Portland, OR

Produced By Cameron of #survivalbros

Hey Friends,

Cam here.  Thanks for visiting my emergency preparedness blog.  We are pumping out a bunch of new videos this month, so I hope you like watching them.  Please share this quick informational production with friends.  Here’s the short link to copy and paste:  https://youtu.be/7O-KCu_Jqf4  This is important and fun stuff for preppers of all skill levels.

I threw this kit together with gear items on hand that were laying around unused and therefore extra.  We have the basic survival necessities covered for the most part, but improvements can always be made.  I did notice there wasn’t an emergency blanket in this canister, and they can be purchased for $2.  However, if there’s a tsunami wave on the Oregon Coast, I like my odds of living.  I have kits like this one gallon cache, plus backpacks loaded with necessities, and bikes with racks placed strategically all over the Pacific Northwest.

What’s your plan for safe escape from danger?  Stay healthy out there.  And keep your head on a swivel.  Few things are more valuable that situational awareness.  Cheers.

A survivalist and cancer fighter answers my questions about his unique ride.  This electric trike gets 240 miles per gallon of gas.  Talk about frugality and wellness wrapped in one man’s mission to live!  The cyclist is always moving his legs, and getting a workout while going down the road.  He had this tricycle loaded with groceries, and clean laundry.  It could easily haul over 100 pounds of gear.  What do you think of this survival mobile?  More on the #survivalbros YouTube Channel.  Subscribe today to watch all the HD video adventures for free online.  Thanks for the support.

In this HD video, I show you how to get free food samples at any Safeway Grocery Store simply by asking.  First stop; The Bakery.  I scored a chocolate chip cookie, and a rich brownie with fudge frosting by using little effort.  Getting this freebie was child’s play, but the complementary grub isn’t available only for the kids, as you may have thought.  I use this method on most of my visits to large retailers.  The bakers told me they give out 10-15 trays of 45 count cookies daily.  So claim your grub, and don’t let free calories go uneaten.  Also of note, The Bakery is on my way from the back of the grocery store, where I check the half off sale items anyways.

Free samples and bargains can be had, even at the most expensive Safeway in America, located in my hometown of Seaside, Oregon.  I do this wild stuff to offset the cost of my calorie intake, and for my own sick amusement.  I want to get the maximum out of any given situation, like I did in this social experiment.  The employees are typically really generous, and don’t mind my request.
Free Cookie Samples Safeway
A friend and I once got three types of no cost cookies for each person asking.  So we enjoyed a variety of desserts for free to enjoy while filling my cart.  Share your comments below on urban scavenging.Beef Sample at Safeway DeliIn this photo I show off my huge haul of three roast beef pieces after politely requesting to try some red meat at the deli counter.   This was enough flesh for a hearty sandwich, but I ate it in store, and even shared some with another shopper!  Push the limit, and ask to sample each and every appetizing food type behind the glass.  It’s the education you need to become a smarter shopper.

Follow your instincts and win at life!

I love game shows.  I’ve always wanted to host one, or play others on TV.  A new program called Let’s Ask America gave me the chance to claim $50,000.  Using a webcam and Skype I played from my apartment, and represented for my city of Seaside, Oregon.  The episode I starred in aired on my 30th birthday.  It was the best gift ever.  I dominated the competition, and maintained a lead the entire game.  One by one I picked off the challengers.  I attribute all of my success to following my instincts.  I went with my gut.  Even though we were playing before a live studio audience in Hollywood, I kept my cool.  I racked up $6,600 heading into the final question.  I decided to bank $5k, and risk $1,600 which could be doubled.  I guessed the correct answer and screamed in joy.   My total winnings ended up being $8,200!  The crowd went wild, and I ran my mouth.  The host Kevin Pereira asked what I would do with the money and I said, “Well Kev, shout out to William Blake and da Vinci, but I think I’m the greatest artist of all time.  So I’m going to buy some Art supplies, and get my ideas out there.”  The Daily Astorian wrote an article on my victory.  Here’s the two clips the show has uploaded on their YouTube channel.

Survival Bros drives in dangerous road conditions through Champaign, Illinois.  It was 29 degrees.  First came an inch of snow, then freezing rain, followed by a hail storm.  The worthless rental car, a Kia Soul, was covered in an inch of ice, and struggled to stay on the slippery road!  There were accidents all over the place, but it looks like the worst winter weather is behind us now.  Stay tuned for additional HD videos.  Please enter your email on the top left side of the blog to follow all of our posts.  More intense stuff soon.  Thanks for visiting!  Get prepared.
