A survivalist and cancer fighter answers my questions about his unique ride.  This electric trike gets 240 miles per gallon of gas.  Talk about frugality and wellness wrapped in one man’s mission to live!  The cyclist is always moving his legs, and getting a workout while going down the road.  He had this tricycle loaded with groceries, and clean laundry.  It could easily haul over 100 pounds of gear.  What do you think of this survival mobile?  More on the #survivalbros YouTube Channel.  Subscribe today to watch all the HD video adventures for free online.  Thanks for the support.

In these HD #survivalbros videos I source product, or pick stuff, to potentially resell at a profit.  I purchased nearly 27 pounds of Goodwill donations at 99 cents per lb in one day, as seen in the first vlog below.  Watch these guides to learn more about picking, aka hustling.  I chose a diverse range of merchandise, buying everything from purses to Nintendo Wii video games.  I think I scored on my thrifting haul adventure, but you  be the judge.  SUBSCRIBE TO SURVIVAL BROS ON YOUTUBE HERE to join the conversation.  Thanks for watching.

Pro Tips for  Shopping at The Goodwill Outlet Bins:

  1. Wear gloves.  This way you can toss stuff, and protect your hands from sharp objects…
  2. Weigh your cart several times to see where your at, and to preview what you may spend.
  3. Take a chance on an item or two that you know nothing about.  It may prove to be a super find.

More advice coming in blog articles soon…..

#SurvivalBros swaps fake dollar bills for a more authentic, and traditional unit of exchange (silver) in this HD video production.  Please like, comment, and share this #movie  For more content, take a minute to SUBSCRIBE to the Survival Bros YouTube Channel if you have an account!  Thanks.

You just saw proof that you can still get real silver for silver certificates.  The Government really should honor these novelty items.  But no.  You may only have Federal Reserve Notes.  Thanks!

After consulting with expert buyers/sellers in my community, the consensus is that paper silver certificates don’t go for more than $2-$5, unless you get a particular year, which I don’t know anything about yet.

But why stockpile silver versus other goods to trade potentially?  Because paying for storage sucks, and I’m condensing my wealth to a smaller physical size.  And silver in undervalued at this time, in my mind.  So I can get more in trade later.

Yeah, but Walmart doesn’t take silver bullion!  Not yet.  And if you have silver coins you can simply take them to the coin shop in your hood to get cash to purchase Chinese garbage and GMOs.

Well, that dollar with The Rock on it isn’t worth a dollar, so you ripped them off, and you’re a jerk.  Hmmm….I think it’s still redeemable.  And Dwayne Johnson may as well be on our money since it’s so funny.  Audit The Fed.

Take a second to leave a comment on this blog post, if you’d be so kind.  What do you stockpile just in case, if anything?  Cheers.

This week I got up early and drove the Volkswagen Vanagon out to the legendary Goodwill Outlet near the Portland International Airport, or PDX.  I slept nearby, for free, in the Shari’s Resturant parking lot.  As a hustler, I knew I had to get to Goodwill before the place opens up at 8 AM.  I had my smartphone on me, charged, to scan barcodes, and research items online.  I used the eBay, and Amazon applications for quick access to information.

It was a feeding frenzy inside.  No time to shoot video when you’re trying to make money.  Goodwill charges only $1.67 per pound for most anything, besides CDs, DVDs, and stuff in the display case, as far as I know.  At the end, you roll your shopping cart onto a scale, like weighing your vehicle at a garbage dump.  You’ll see my thrifting haul in the HD Survival Bros video below.  I had to dig threw a bunch of trash to find anything acceptable for potential reselling, and keeping.  You will get your hands dirty.  Try to avoid piss blankets, and scan everything with your eyes to make less work for yourself.  My strategies netted me a Phillips Norelco electric razor, Wii video game, Levis flannel shirt, wall charger, scarf, two GPS units by Garmin and Magellen, fanny back for ultralight backpacking, and a Nike Max Air backpack.  I think I did excellent considering I spent just $7.44.

Hustling isn’t for lazy people.  You have to think on your feet, and react quickly.  One must follow their heart, and instincts to get money.  Buying and selling the goods you got takes skill too.  Then you have to deliver on your promise to the customer in order to maintain your street cred.  Do you have what it takes to be a hustler?  I made this video to help others get ideas about reselling their thrift shop finds, not to simply to show off my abilities.  But damn I’m good.  No.  Hustling, making a video on it, and articulating ideas in an article is not for the lazy. Good money is earned.  My thoughts are free.  Check out the picked profit breakdown below.

Total Value and Asking price on thrifting haul:

1. Price is Right Wii game + $20

2. Tiger Woods 08 game + $25

3. Baby Einstein DVDs + $20

4. Batman CD Player + $45 (SOLD!)

5. Starbucks Tumbler + $20

6. Lion King Disney Mug + $20

7. Sony Walkman Radio + $40

8. Octopus Ring + $20 = $210

*Spent only $19!

Survival Bros asks for free food samples at Natural Grocers in Eugene, Oregon while on a roadtrip.  I scored four packets of organic plant based protein drinks, and Non-GMO oatmeal.  Check out the freebie haul.  Get free calories for yourself by asking to try things at every store you go to.  It’s not begging.  The shops either have product to get rid of for promotional use, or not.  All of the products seen in this new Vlog are NOT FOR RESALE!  If scavengers like me do not request the trials, they could go home with a hungry employee, or even worse…EXPIRE!  Nothing is worse than wasting a calorie.

Learn about getting food and supplement samples from your local shops at NO COST.  I visit health food stores such as GNC, and ask the cashier for freebies, or take items from their basket of product trials.  These individual servings will be stored properly in Ziploc bags, and placed in various emergency preparedness kits, plus my Everyday Carry backpack.  I have saved tons of money using this method of urban scavenging.  You can make your own freebie haul like this with little effort.

This week I did something wild!  I pushed my limits, and enjoyed eight zip lines on the Oregon Coast in Warrenton.  I’d never attempted anything like this adventure.  It got my heart rate up, and made me scream to the top of my lungs.

Enjoy a gallery of my photographs from my trip to High Life Adventures:

My tour group of eight people took around three hours to complete the course.  We had two local, and friendly guides.  They communicated with small radios attached to their harness.  One guide would go first, then use a rope to gently bring them to a controlled stop.  The female went last, and was responsible for securing us properly.  You don’t have to walk much in between the routes.  In fact, they have a 4×4 vehicle if you want to use it, or get spooked and need a ride back to the parking lot early.

Jumping from the observation tower is intense.  There are three different lines from that point, on two levels.  SPOILER ALERTS: You get a cookie and a juice box halfway through the tour, plus spring water.  Soon they will have a wood stove operational for the brutal winter months, and a wind turbine on top.  Also, be on the lookout for Sasquatch.  I just saved you a heart attack, and/or a lawsuit.  I threw a legit left jab to the face of the masked man, and nearly delivered a swift leg kick before realizing I wasn’t in danger.  Fortunately, when he sneaks up, you’re still locked to the zip line, and can’t fully attack!

I would highly recommend going on this zip line tour.  It costs $99, and you can also try THE ZWING, their extreme zip swing.  I did, and got a high-visibility rubber bracelet as a souvenir.  The add-on is $29 more, but worth it, if you can keep down your cookie.  I was attached to a longer, 20-foot rope, and jumped off the side of the tower instead of from the middle like most of the group.  So I flew 40 feet across, and then dropped towards the lake, on the 1200′ long cable.  I screamed like Bigfoot, and was definitely the loudest in the group.  I look forward to zip lining again soon, and possibly filming even more.  Honestly, this would be a hard hobby to master.  The easiest way to stay facing forward is to hold your line towards the top of the connection.

Watch on HD video as an unhappy customer calls and complains about unsatisfactory food to get his money back.  A replacement product voucher was shipped to his address, for a similar ice cream item of choosing.  Checks for cash are often sent for similar situations.  Expect valuable coupons in addition to an apology letter.
