Fake News Challenges Cam The Cuddler:

I recently drove my Mustang to Portland, Oregon to demonstrate my survival tactics to a “reporter” and photographer with Willamette Week.  It’s a tabloid, and I shouldn’t have trusted them to get my story correct.  The nameless reporter didn’t use a voice recorder, and managed to misquote me.  The entire article is snarky, and designed to discredit me. Instead, YouTube views are going through the roof!

Here’s the “story,” from wweek.com.  I did NOT say the line about killing.  I was saying that there may be violence in the streets a few days after supplies run out, and it got twisted into, “there will be killing for five days.”  That makes no sense.  It was careless reporting, intentionally.  They should give back their Pulitzer prize they won so long ago.  Reporters better watch how they handle me.  Good luck getting an interview now.  You better have some credibility, and be a positive person if you’re gonna approach me for a story.

Watch the latest thrifting haul score below.  This could be my most profitable purchase ever:

I quit my job.  I’ve been working at a GNC, but it’s an unhealthy work environment.  The florescent lighting was unbearably bright and annoying.  The frequency is harmful.  Plus, I was surrounded by a Wi-Fi signal, that I’m sensitive to.  All of us should be aware of our surroundings, and be in an environment that is as natural as possible.

Once the weather got nice, and the Sun came out, the customers stopped coming in.  They were getting Vitamin D, and fresh air like I should be doing.  So that bothered me.  I don’t want to develop varicose veins from standing or sitting too much either.  Be careful with that my friends.  They sure do recall a bunch of products too!

I’m now selling caches.  Maybe you’ve seen me on VICELAND’s Abandoned Ep. 5 “Nuclear Waste” with skater Rick McCrank.  If you want me to build one for you, just send $75 to me on PayPal here.  You’ll get tons of cool items, and lots of value.  I will include treasure from my adventures, such as amazing thrift store finds and practical everyday items.   Look out for a video about a mystery cache soon.  Here’s a practical cache I put together recently:

The struggle is real.  On a recent road trip to Terwilliger aka Cougar hot spring East of Eugene, I hit a pot hole in the dark and cracked my oil pan.  I have a 1999 Mustang, with a severe leak, so I’m not driving right now.  I’m back on foot patrol, and catching buses, as my survival mountain bike was recently stolen also.  Pray that I can travel again soon, and get it fixed properly on the cheap.  A mechanic wants $650 to do the job, but I have a buddy in mind to help for way less cash.  It may take 6 hours of labor, as the engine needs to be lifted and cradled.  At least this doesn’t appear to be the end of my ride on the black stallion.

Watch and learn how to get a free home, vehicle, or abandoned trailer like this one I found.  It was left on a back road in Oregon.  If someone doesn’t claim it by the posted time on the public notice, then it will be towed and impounded.  To get a free house, etc. just call the Sheriff and tell the police it’s yours now, and you will be taking responsibility of ownership.

I could put this on a friend’s property, or pay only $35 per month to store it locally.  Decisions…Decisions…and here I am blogging about it.

Would you take a ditched trailer like this project?  How fun would it be to make it how you wanted?  Subscribe to #survivalbros on YouTube, and enter your email on the top left side of the homepage of http://www.SurvivalBros.com  #Hugs

Hello Friends,

In this Survival Bros vlog I visit a gym to use a free trial membership.  Really, I just wanted to use the sauna and shower at no cost.  I encourage you to ask more, and see what you can get in life.

Using an infrared sauna will get rid of toxins, open pores, and relax tense muscles.  It was hot as Vegas, but I loved IT.  I lasted 25 minutes.  No idea what the temperature was!  After this I drove my new Mustang to Portland to hustle at pawn shops and thrift stores.  I forget what I found…but I’ll find it again.  ha

Best Wishes from Oregon,

Bug Out Bag and Bicycle – Winter Camping Gear Setup

Dear Survival Journal,

I got a way late start.  Was also considering busing to the warming center in Astoria, OR.  That’s smart.

Hiking 7 miles ain’t.  But I was determined to bog through the uphill swamp: half in the dark.  I got turned around at one point where trees fell over the path.  I also slipped once, but rehearsed in my head what to do.  I threw my 1 gallon water jug, and braced myself.  Yup, I carried a heavy water container from Ave. U to The Hiker Cabins on Tillamook Head.  My shoulders and arms are torn up.  My 110 liter Kelty backpack had to be 70 pounds.

Plus, I was running on a bum sprained ankle…wore a too tight brace…My left shoulder hurt the most.  It was so tight.  But I had an indica BHO cartridge in my vape pen to finish off.  It was charging in my bag on the hike with a portable power bank charger.  I brought too much stuff.  Like 6 pairs of socks, an umbrella, a dud smoke grenade, and a giant tarp.  It’s 11am – dark at 4:25pm.  So cold.  My hands are numb.

cam-hugs-rickCam with Rick McCrank – host of VICELAND’S Abandoned in Astoria, Oregon

Oregonian Cameron McKirdy appears on VICELAND’s “Abandoned.”  It’s a new travel documentary type show featuring deserted places.  I guided the VICE TV crew around our area, and shared my story.  Producers from British Columbia, Canada filmed the host, Professional Skateboarder Rick McCrank and I discussing preparations for a nuclear disaster, and a tsunami.  VICE and I took my Volkswagon van for a ride along the ocean in Long Beach, Washington looking for shelter, plus debris from the 2011 Japanese tsunami.  Over two days we built emergency preparedness kits with ammo boxes to bury in the ground along escape routes, like I have shown on my YouTube Channel called Survival Bros.  We scavenged free health food samples from A Gypsy’s Whimsy, and purchased essential gear items to cache at more stores located in Astoria and Seaside, OR.  The #survival kit I helped McCrank build should help him endure a disaster if he keeps it close by.  I always have my emergency Go-Bag with me.

ON AIR you should see me (Cam The Cuddler) hugging people and chatting about my life as a certified professional cuddler.  Check out his CuddleLife Blog for more information and to read my FAQs.  I offer a platonic touch service, and I’m open to trades and donations.  Typically I get one dollar per minute to care for people.  I believe cuddling is therapeutic, and a fun and safe way to get the positive human touch we all need to survive.

Hey Friends,

Cam here.  Thanks for visiting my emergency preparedness blog.  We are pumping out a bunch of new videos this month, so I hope you like watching them.  Please share this quick informational production with friends.  Here’s the short link to copy and paste:  https://youtu.be/7O-KCu_Jqf4  This is important and fun stuff for preppers of all skill levels.

I threw this kit together with gear items on hand that were laying around unused and therefore extra.  We have the basic survival necessities covered for the most part, but improvements can always be made.  I did notice there wasn’t an emergency blanket in this canister, and they can be purchased for $2.  However, if there’s a tsunami wave on the Oregon Coast, I like my odds of living.  I have kits like this one gallon cache, plus backpacks loaded with necessities, and bikes with racks placed strategically all over the Pacific Northwest.

What’s your plan for safe escape from danger?  Stay healthy out there.  And keep your head on a swivel.  Few things are more valuable that situational awareness.  Cheers.

Attention my fellow Survival Bros: Check our my new vehicle for car camping!  The old 2.1 Liter Volkswagen Vanagon has been sold to a hippie.  This 1994 Chevrolet G-20 van cost $2,000, and has 136,000 miles on it.  I’m hopeful that the Chevy will be much more reliable than the 1986 VW bus I lived in for nearly 2.5 years!  I must have had AAA tow my last ride 13 times to a mechanic or home.

#SurvivalBros is creating a new video series on vandwelling in this RV.  You’re gonna want to see every episode of my travels.  I’m bursting with information, and tips to share about living on the road.  Share this vlog and blog post with friends into #vandwelling   Subscribe today on YouTube HERE!
