A survivalist and cancer fighter answers my questions about his unique ride. This electric trike gets 240 miles per gallon of gas. Talk about frugality and wellness wrapped in one man’s mission to live! The cyclist is always moving his legs, and getting a workout while going down the road. He had this tricycle loaded with groceries, and clean laundry. It could easily haul over 100 pounds of gear. What do you think of this survival mobile? More on the #survivalbros YouTube Channel. In these HD #survivalbros videos I source product, or pick stuff, to potentially resell at a profit. I purchased nearly 27 pounds of Goodwill donations at 99 cents per lb in one day, as seen in the first vlog below. Watch these guides to learn more about picking, aka hustling. I chose a diverse range of merchandise, buying everything from purses to Nintendo Wii video games. I think I scored on my thrifting haul adventure, but you be the judge. A pug beagle combination dreams in her sleep, and acts funny on camera in HD video. My pet is 7 years old, brindle, plus great at catching and fetching. Her birthday is on Valentine’s Day. Mocha The Puggle currently helps run the emergency preparedness blog. She loves vandwelling in the Volkswagen Vanagon with her copilot. But believe me, she is a bed hog, regardless of her petite stature.
Survival Bros gets 26 different free samples in his local Costco shopping center on HD video. This total number doesn’t reflect when Cam swooped up multiple trial bites of the same item. You’re allowed to take more than one, as long as it’s on the tray. All of this complementary grub made a full meal, but he is still hungry. Cam didn’t even purchase any stuff, and doesn’t have a Costco membership card. Get access with a Costco Gift Card, then sample up, or buy an inexpensive meal at the food court deli.
Try going at the end of the day for extra samples. They are trying to get rid of the products before closing time. What’s your favorite line from this production? Leave a comment. Learn which individual servings or samples of condiments, and sauce you can find for free. Do some urban scavenging like me. Stockpile packets of ketchup, salsa, candy, and more items for storage. My favorite package seen in the video is the lemon juice. I forgot to mention it. You can find just about any free food packet out there. I have a secret sauce floating around my van somewhere from Burger King. I think I eat out more for condiments than the fast food itself.
Having these sauces, and sugars, etc. on hand saves money. Take food packets like the ones shown on your next camping trip for extra spice, or flavor in your meal. Get free condiments as seen on Survival Bros at restaurants, and convenience stores. If something isn’t priced, it must be available to take.
Do you stockpile packets like I do? I feel like such a rebel when my pockets are full, and I’ve made a clean getaway with the loot.
Watch our new HD video production to get ideas of easy meals you can create while living in your vehicle. I’ve been sleeping in my 1986 Volkswagen Vanagon GL, or vandwelling for eight months straight now. Being out there, and doing IT, teaches you what it takes to plan for a long road trip. However, maybe this blog post will inspire you to do more car camping. It’s been an amazing experience, and my pleasure to share with you. I’m so glad I’ve been able to see more of the Pacific Northwest while I’m young, wild, and free. Now I just need to find more stickers to paste on my VW Bus.
Many food suggestions shown in the YouTube video are also ideal for backpacking, because they are ready instantly with hot water. Other dishes, or side meals are fully prepared for consumption as is, such as the individually wrapped granola bars. I also eat plenty of fresh organic fruit, and drink spring or distilled water. No tap.
Tip: Use different sizes of Ziploc bags to store food items in, and label each kit with a permanent pen. You can compact the plastic storage sacks, and take most of the air out of them, so they are almost vacuum sealed, and take up minimal space. Then put the locked baggies in larger bins, or the pockets of your Everyday Carry backpack for safekeeping.

Check out the vintage bike frame I was given for FREE. I’ve always wanted an old school Specialized Rockhopper, so I had to fix it up, and ride. The bicycle needed some TLC. I bought new handlebars for $1, rubber grips, a back tube and tire, plus located a matching racing seat and post. It must be a 1989, or 1990 Specialized, featuring Shimano Deore LX components. The original matching wheels came with.
Survival Bros also pressure washed everything, to get the road grim off. Just had to share the photos with the fans. I haven’t seen this bike, this nice, anywhere online in my searching. I sold the restored project for $150. Funny part was, the buyer showed up in a classic Volkswagen Vanagon like mine, so we had lots to talk about, and share. This bike was just too small for me, with a 17 inch frame, it’s best suited for a teen. It went to a good home, and freed up space inside my van. More cycling projects being blogged about soon.

Everybody loves a quality photograph. Here’s some of the images I’ve snapped, or uploaded recently, and put on my Instagram account online. Enjoy a sample of the image gallery here on Survival Bros. My favorite new shot is the one of the older vintage Volkswagen bus parked next to mine, or the double rainbow captured on The Prom in Seaside, Oregon.
