I challenge you to carry a water container wherever you go on the daily! Β You’ll be healthier, and happier. Β I do this to stay hydrated, and make sure I’m not too overΒ caffeinated. Β
BONUS CHALLENGE: Β DRINKΒ 125 OUNCES OF AGUA EACH DAY. Β
Plus, try adding lemon juice to your beverage to stimulate your metabolism, improve your digestion, and aid in the detoxification process. Β
Did you know drinking cold water will burn extra calories for you too? Β It’s true. Β Just don’t drink a ton of water at once, because you can die from too much liquid intake. Β
Thanks for supporting the blog! Β Make the most of today. Β Take care of yourself, and each other. Β Peace, love, and big hugs to you.

You just saw proof that you can still get real silver for silver certificates. Β The Government really should honor these novelty items. Β But no. Β You may only have Federal Reserve Notes. Β Thanks! Β
After consulting with expert buyers/sellers in my community, theΒ consensusΒ is that paperΒ silver certificates don’t go for more than $2-$5, unless you get a particular year, which I don’t know anything about yet.
But why stockpile silver versus other goods to trade potentially? Β Because paying for storage sucks, and I’m condensing my wealth to a smaller physical size. Β And silver in undervalued at this time, in my mind. Β So I can get more in trade later.
Yeah, but Walmart doesn’t take silver bullion! Β Not yet. Β And if you have silver coins you can simply take them to the coin shop in your hood to get cash to purchase Chinese garbage and GMOs. Β
Well, that dollar with The Rock on it isn’t worth a dollar, so you ripped them off, and you’re a jerk. Β Hmmm….I think it’s stillΒ redeemable. Β And Dwayne Johnson may as well be on our money since it’s so funny.Β Β Audit The Fed.
Β Take a second to leave a comment on this blog post, if you’d be so kind. Β What do you stockpile just in case, if anything? Β Cheers.
In this HD video, I show you how to get free food samples at any Safeway Grocery Store simply by asking. Β First stop; The Bakery. Β I scoredΒ a chocolate chip cookie, and a rich brownie with fudge frosting by using little effort. Β Getting this freebie was child’s play, but the complementary grub isn’t available only for the kids, as you may have thought. Β I use this method on most of my visits to large retailers. Β The bakers told me they give out 10-15 trays of 45 count cookies daily. Β So claim your grub, and don’t let free calories go uneaten. Β Also of note, The Bakery is on my way from the back of the grocery store, where I check the half off sale items anyways.Β
Free samples andΒ bargainsΒ can be had, even at the most expensive Safeway in America, located in my hometown of Seaside, Oregon. Β I do this wild stuff to offset the cost of my calorie intake, and for my own sick amusement. Β I want to get the maximum out of any given situation, like I did in this socialΒ experiment. Β TheΒ employees are typicallyΒ really generous, and don’t mind my request. Β A friend and IΒ once got three types of no cost cookies for each person asking. Β So we enjoyed a variety of desserts for free to enjoy while filling my cart. Β Share your comments below on urbanΒ scavenging. In this photo I show off my huge haul of three roast beef pieces afterΒ politelyΒ requesting to try some red meat at the deliΒ counter. Β This was enough flesh for a hearty sandwich, but I ate it in store, and even shared some with another shopper! Β Push the limit, and ask to sample each and every appetizingΒ food type behind the glass. Β It’s the education you need to become a smarter shopper.
I spent the weekend on the Oregon Coast in Seaside, and had spare time to experiment with a new Art project. Β First, I dug through a recycling bin for cardboard to create a smallΒ handmade sign with a permanent pen. Β Then I rounded up some fun objects I didn’t need anymore, like a Smokey The Bear keychain whistle. Β These goods would be available to begin the open bartering. Β I spread out a towel,Β and placed the trinkets on The Prom’s concrete path.
With little effort, and few resources, a self-serve system was born. Β A take one, leave one blanket is a place where anΒ item of any kind can freely be exchanged as you see fit. Β Share this concept with people in your town. Β You wouldn’t believe the response. Β Nearly every biker, and pedestrian stopped their forward progress to figure out what was going on. Β This open trading system seemed to inspire, confuse, and even make some people greedy. Β
I may have seen people taking without giving, thinking nobody was looking, but I’m not sure. Β Others had no issue taking nice items, like a Tree of Life necklace pendant, and replacing it with trash. Β I found the blanket riddled with wrappers, cardboard scraps, and even half of a marijuana cigarette. Β Take a close look at the pictures, and you’ll see other small stuff, like a paperclip, pocket change, flower, price tag sticker, and a pile of sand from the beach.
IΒ discretelyΒ checked back every few hours for a day, and saw some of the action in person. Β People generously placed beautiful possessions with little hesitation. Β There were cool things left behind that I didn’t get a picture of, because I didn’t want toΒ interruptΒ the process. Β My favorite moment was when aΒ 12-year old girl named Krystin Crawford set down herΒ hand paintedΒ sand dollars. Β She took a braidedΒ pieceΒ of grasses someone constructed. Β The girl enjoyed sharing theΒ Art she made, and gettingΒ involved. Β See her craftsmanship below. Β The found, andΒ re-purposedΒ shells were adorable. Β Krystin and her mom came back to the free exchange place the following morning with a positive attitude. Β Everything had changed. Β This artist endeavour hasΒ restored my faith in humanity once and for all, despite some shady, but acceptable transactions by others.
In conclusion, I will try this social experiment again. Β I was thrilled to see this interactive art piece evolve rapidly. Β I saw joy on many of the participants faces. Β This free trading system can be implemented anywhere, at anytime. Β Let’s spread the concept, and see the random generousity of others displayed in public. Β And remember, you’ll usually get more than you give. Β Leave a comment, or question if you like. Β Thanks for visiting Survival Bros.
I’ve been managing Cougar CrossingΒ Campground in The Willamette National Forest, while living in my Volkswagen Vanagon. Β Plus, running Terwilliger Hot Spring in Oregon. Β That has kept me busy enough, but with Spring and Summer, come baby making, and mice are no exception. Β I haveΒ assassinatedΒ 18 mice in three weeks, usingΒ this Five Gallon Bucket Peanut Butter Trap, and a fewΒ traditionalΒ spring loaded woodenΒ Victor Brand weapons.Β Β Watch the HD Survival Bros Video ProductionΒ below toΒ see exactly how to build your own mouse deathtrap. Β
Keep the critters out of your house, and vehicle by using this hunting method. Β It’s a simple, and easyΒ solution, to aΒ disgustingΒ problem. Β I hate killing anything living,Β but NOW they won’t be damaging my car, tent, etc. and eating my food! Β I lost a few Pop Tarts folks. Β To make this project at home:
1. Spread Peanut Butter around the inside edge of the large plastic bucket, just down from lip
2. Β Place stick running up to the top, overhanging so the mice fall inside after looking for a meal
3. Β Fill bucket with 3 – 4 inches of water
4. Β Wait overnight for animals to become trapped, and die
5. Β Dispose of dead rodentsΒ properly with gloves, bury if possible a footΒ underground
Don’t call me PETA. Β I love animals, and drowning is a peaceful way to go right? Β Continue reading for more helpful information about mouse removal andΒ solutionsΒ from personal experience.
I asked around for more mice control tips and tricks, and here’s what my friends came up with. Β Rats dislike pure mint oil extract. Β Place a few drops on a cotton ball, and put it where you’ve seen animals to keep them out. Β Also, try putting dryer sheets in the holes of your car or house. Β The mice won’t want to pass through these smelly spots. Β Steel wool (not thin) set in car air vents is a deterrent too, allegedly. Β Play with these things if you have a rodent issue. Β I think it’s good stuff to know, so I’m taking the time to share for my fellow Survival Bros.
Manager’s Campground Spot #1 on The McKenzie River
The most mice I’ve captured in a night was four! Β They are getting thinned out quick, but I expect them in waves all Summer. Β I also decapitated some poor, innocent slugs, when they set off the lever on my traps. Β It takes time setting up multiple devices. Β I’ve spent 30 minutes many nights smearing peanut butter, and setting them in all the right spots. Β Which for me, would be small game trails, near holes, or by my vehicle. Β In addition, a pal told me dumping sugar away from your camping spot will keep various critters out of your outdoor gear.
You can also try low tech scare tactics on the mice. Β When I first heard them scampering around my Vanagon, I didn’t have traps in place. Β So I make a bunch of intimidatingΒ noises. Β I was hissing, growling, barking, and clapping. Β That didn’t work, and neither did playing music. Β I should have tried Nickelback. Β Shaking the van side to side wasn’t and effectiveΒ deterrentΒ either. Β The mice are too smart. Β I swear they are tuned into my brain waves, and attack my living quarters as soon as I start to fall asleep.

Later I peed on my rig to make it seem like a big animal lives there, and to serve as a warning. Β If I wasn’t deathly allergic to evil cats, I’d get one to stand watch. Β Where’s an owl when you need one? Β I have tried it all folks. Β And the 5 gallon peanut butter bucket trap as seen HEREΒ works best. Β Good luck. Β More soon. Β Please comment, like, and share this blog post with friends. Β You’re the best.

I’ve been on the hunt at local thrift shops for a bargain. Β After scouring the Eugene/Springfield, Oregon area I hauled in fresh gear, and saved a wad of money buying items second hand. Β However, most of the swag is new. Β I’ve been popping tags. Β I hope to use these pieces backpacking, vandwelling, and as essential Every Day Carry items. Β
I found a new pair of Nike Special Field Boots or SFB at St. Vinnie’s. Β They retail online for $140 or more, if you can locate your size. Β I had hoped they were size 12’sΒ when I spotted them on display.Β Β It was my lucky day, because they were a match for me. Β The desert tan kicks had been marked $29.99, but were half off that day. Β I got the shoes for $14.99! Β I’ve been wanting this exact pair of 8 inch high military style boots. Β Here’s the maleΒ equivalentΒ of girls wearing Uggs in public.Β I get lots of compliments on them. Β No I haven’t served, but I train with soldiers. Β
I lost one of my all black Mechanix M-PACT Covert gloves bouncing around town celebrating New Years. Β So, now I’m breaking in another pair of work gloves that I had for backup. Β I like wearing them while biking, or even driving my Volkswagen Vanagon. Β This brightly colored safety wear is men’s size Large. Β Newer versions fit even better. Β I also like that they dry out quickly in the sun.
I’ve found some treasures, and I look forward to going back into the city to discover what else I can’t live without. Β Thanks for supporting the blog. Β Visit again shortly. Β I have lots of wacky videos in the works. Β Have a great Spring Break, and Summer!Β

Survival Bros gets 26 different free samples in his local Costco shopping center on HD video. Β This total number doesn’t reflect when Cam swooped up multiple trial bites of the same item. Learn which individual servings or samples of condiments, and sauce you can find for free. Do some urban scavenging like me. Stockpile packets of ketchup, salsa, candy, and more items for storage. My favorite package seen in the video is the lemon juice. I forgot to mention it. You can find just about any free food packet out there. I have a secret sauce floating around my van somewhere from Burger King. I think I eat out more for condiments than the fast food itself.
Having these sauces, and sugars, etc. on hand saves money. Take food packets like the ones shown on your next camping trip for extra spice, or flavor in your meal. Get free condiments as seen on Survival Bros at restaurants, and convenience stores. If something isn’t priced, it must be available to take.
Do you stockpile packets like I do? I feel like such a rebel when my pockets are full, and I’ve made a clean getaway with the loot.
