ios 7 fail

Breaking news!  iOS 7 Software update fails to install.  Just another reminder not to depend on technology. It’s probably due to heavy demand on their servers. Maybe it will work later today.  Survival Bros will keep you updated.  We’ve tried to install the software 7 times now, with no success.  Luckily the sun is shining, and it’s going to be a wonderful day regardless.  Thanks for visiting the blog.

Update:  Just when it looked like my iPhone 4S was about to update with the new software displaying “verifying update”, my phone turned off.  I figured that was a good thing, and I’d reboot, and get all the new benefits of the system.  But NO!  When I turned my cell back on, it was the same old, boring version.  Now it seems frozen, with a picture telling me to plug the device in so it can connect to iTunes.  I did that, and it’s not doing a damn thing.

Plus, this blog post was going viral, but now it’s nowhere to be found by Google search.  I smell a conspiracy.  It was on the top of the results page when you typed in iOS 7 update failure.  Clearly, Survival Bros is being prevented from sharing real news.  Now I don’t have a phone, because it’s still screwed up and paralyzed!  Damn you Apple.

Wow…So I plugged my phone into the computer and launched iTunes.  Then I clicked on the device, and a warning popped up reading, “iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.  You must restore this iPhone before it can be used with iTunes.”  How the hell are you supposed to restore it?  It’s still frozen like a caveman.  I bet ya I lost a ton of data, including contacts, and notes.  This is the worst case scenario.  I can’t believe it.  Luckily I backed up all my photos and videos earlier today.  Still.  Welcome to Hell iPhone users.  I pay $140 a month for this shit?  Unforgivable.   I should have stayed with a Droid I guess.

I started the process of restoring my phone, but Apple said it would be reverted back to the old version and not iOS 7.  Meaning I lose all my data, and still don’t get he new operating system.  I wish I would have waited for others to discover this issue before I tried updating, but I never had issues in the past.  At the moment I’m downloading the newest version of iTunes.  Maybe then I can get iOS 7 installed correctly, but I doubt it.  And I’m still boned because restoring the system means going back to the factory settings.  I’m in a pickle, and I don’t like them on anything.

Now “Errors occurred while installing the (iTunes) updates.”  I guess I have no choice but to reinstall iOS version 6.1.4 so I can at least use my phone again, and see the damage.  Then maybe I can get an update fixing the bugs.  Arghh.

Please like, comment, and share this blog post so that others don’t endure the same pain and personal anguish.  Good luck Apple fans.

After trying to restore my iPhone, I just ran into another problem.  iTunes is saying, “There was a problem downloading the software for the iPhone.  An unknown error occurred (9006).”  All I can do is try again later.  Not like I need a phone or anything.  Now I feel like a caveman.

After updating my iTunes software once again, I hit “restore iPhone.”  It seemed to be updating, and the iPhone restarted.  However, now I’m having problems activating my 4S with iOS 7.  It wants me to join my wifi network, but once I type in the correct password, it still won’t connect.  It won’t connect using my cellular network either.  I’m stuck again, as Apple “Could Not Activate iPhone.”  This is bullshit.  I thought they beta tested this.  I still don’t have a working phone.  I’ve been trying to update the system for 3 hours now with no luck at all.  More soon.

20130918-163440.jpgiOS 7 is finally up and running on my cell.  I lost all my contacts and data, because I was forced to restore my iPhone.  Lame.   I got this odd notification too.  Now I’m downloading all the apps I had.  That was a long 6 hour ordeal.  #AppleFail

I was on a mission today. It was too sunny not to train hard. I got a good sweat going.

It’s Spring Break! My hometown Seaside Oregon was full of life. The bumper cars, and mini golf course were finally open. The smell of freshly dipped corn dogs in the air. But I biked by, and checked out the action on the beach. I didn’t stay long. I was going for speed and distance today.

I did stop for a raw Synergy kombucha, and found a new green one with chunky chia seeds. It was dank. Slightly sweet. It’s full of healthy bacteria and blue-green algae. It’s an energizer. The convenience store also offered free reverse osmosis filtered water. I filled 2 big bottles, and packed them up to the gravel logging roads.

It was a great day, bursting with sun. I rocked out, and flew down the mountain. I had it to myself. I used the Nike+ GPS iPhone app to track my route and progress. I check Google maps a few times to make sure I didn’t take a dead end. A few of the hills were monstrous, and needed to be walked up, but I like mixing up riding with hiking.

With a few water breaks, and stops for a picture, I went 10.7 miles in 1 hour 50 minutes. I figured the loop would take 3 hours. It was a solid training session. I only laid the bike down once trying to muscle over a down tree. I slammed some protein when I rolled out of the woods and got home, just before darkness fell. I wish you were there, but you may have slowed me up. ;^].

I had too much coffee, and acidic foods today, so I was suffering from heartburn. I was out of calcium rich Tums, so I tried Pepto Bismol, but that didn’t help. Drinking extra spring water didn’t do much for relief either. So I reached for a natural remedy, Dr. Bragg’s organic apple cider vinegar mixed with water. I was able to burp big time, which helped. Next I drank more water with a couple spoonfuls of pure baking soda. That was the trick. I felt better almost instantly, and had to share this info. I hope that works for you.

Survival Bros has been doing some hardcore juicing. I recently fired up the Jack Lalanne Power Juicer, and extracted raw, fresh juice from the fruit and vegetables pictured below. My new favorite drink is carrot juice, mixed with frozen mangos, and orange juice (top right). I whipped that up in my Ninja blender. I drank so much. I’m making raw juice popsicles soon. I will post a picture. Peace.
