Survival Bros CEO Cameron McKirdy breaks a low quality stainless steal knife with his bare hands!  Watch the stress testing.  It didn’t last long, because we knew it would fail right away.  Made in China tools are usually garbage, and this video proves it.  Don’t use cheap knives, you will hurt yourself.  Find the gear right for you, and get an #EDC rotation going to test everything out.  Buy American!  #usa

Survival Bros drives in dangerous road conditions through Champaign, Illinois.  It was 29 degrees.  First came an inch of snow, then freezing rain, followed by a hail storm.  The worthless rental car, a Kia Soul, was covered in an inch of ice, and struggled to stay on the slippery road!  There were accidents all over the place, but it looks like the worst winter weather is behind us now.  Stay tuned for additional HD videos.  Please enter your email on the top left side of the blog to follow all of our posts.  More intense stuff soon.  Thanks for visiting!  Get prepared.

I thought it would be fun to suffer, and film the superstorm we just had on the Oregon Coast in Seaside.  I was blinded by the fierce pellets of water, and nearly perished smashing into a barricade when the brakes went out on my beach cruiser.  All is well, and I think I scored some superb footage for Survival Bros followers.  First is an HD video I filmed on September 28, 2013.  I biked around Seaside, OR and showed off all the flooding and storm damage.  I covered a lot of ground, and used my GoPro Hero 3 Black head camera to shoot the high-definition action.

On the next day, Sunday September 29th 2013 I biked into Seaside on another, much crappier bike because  I got a flat the day before.  I made it to the sand along the Pacific Ocean, right before the bicycle gave up on me.  It fell apart, and had to be ditched in a bush. This video shows me walking on the beach while the storm sand blasted my body.   Exfoliating.

Today I met up with an old friend interested in trading pocket knifes, for my antique wooden chest. I’ve been packing this cool, big box around for years, but felt like swapping it out for smaller items I can potentially trade or sell later.

I got this ornate chest in Tigard, OR at a St. Vincent De Pauls for $40 or so. I was going to restore it, but liked the rough, vintage look, and couldn’t bring myself to refinish the wood. I never cleaned the tin exterior either. It made a great shoe box for awhile, but I had my eye on a stash of Swiss Army knives my buddy acquired from an estate sale. We are both hustlers, so I felt like meeting to get some deals going.

I picked these 18 multitools out of my friend’s collection. I will end up putting a few in small emergency caches to be buried. Some will be gifts, and others I will use for odd jobs. A couple have lights built in too. It felt good to trade for items that won’t be a burden to move. I’m always traveling, so bulk is bad. I will do more deals with this contact, and the possibilities are endless with online networking. Don’t miss out. Be social.
